Diploma In Labour Laws And Practice (DLLP) (Part Time Course)


There is a growing demand of professionals form management, human resources, social work, law in industries the need is felt to groom these professionals with current issues practices in labour field. The practitioners are expected to perform with sufficient knowledge and skills needed to tackle the day to day issues of labour. They are expected to be well verse with knowledge of labour laws which are technical in nature. They are needed to be dexterous in labour counseling, conciliation, administration, documentation and case presentation.

This programme is designed with the purpose to provide trained and educated human resources to the employers to deal with day to day problems in industrial relations. The programme has a scope to invite working executives and new learners with an opportunity to give their contribution to nation building process.

Structure of the programme:

The programme consists of six papers

  • Paper – 1 Historical Development of Labour Legislations
  • Paper – 2 Labour Perspectives in India
  • Paper – 3 Labour Welfare Legislations
  • Paper – 4 Socio-Legal Research Methods
  • Paper – 5 Wages and Social Security Legislations
  • Paper – 6 Industrial Relations and Legislations
Award of Degree Certificate: The Degree Certificate will be provided by the Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad
Duration: Duration of the Course is One Year Part Time. Academic Term for DLLP will start from August and ends in July
Timings: Classes will be held in the institute during 6-30 to 8-00 pm during thrice in a week (excluding Public Holidays) as the Course Coordinator may determine.
Attendance: 75% Percentage of attendance in class is compulsory.
Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction in DLLP will be English
